Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Menuray (“Menuray”, “we”, “us”, “our”), a digital menu platform for restaurants, and the public menu pages it generates. By creating an account or using Menuray, you agree to these terms.

Menuray is operated by an individual based in Egypt and is not currently a registered company. We’re telling you that plainly rather than implying a corporate structure that doesn’t exist.

Beta status

Menuray is under active development. Features, pricing, and this agreement may change as we build. We’ll do our best to give notice of material changes (see “Changes to these terms” below), but you should expect a young product, not a finished one.

What Menuray does

Menuray lets a restaurant owner build a digital menu — categories, items, photos, and optionally a PDF — and publish it behind a QR code and a public web link. Anyone with that link or who scans that code can view the published menu; no account is required to view a menu.

Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your password secure. You’re responsible for activity that happens under your account. Tell us right away if you believe your account has been compromised.

You must be legally able to enter into this agreement — in most places, that means being at least 18, or the age of majority where you live.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Menuray to:

• Publish content that is illegal, fraudulent, or infringes someone else’s rights (including copyright and trademark).
• Impersonate a restaurant, business, or person you’re not authorized to represent.
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to Menuray’s systems.
• Upload malicious files or content designed to harm other users.

We may suspend or remove content, or suspend or terminate an account, that we reasonably believe violates this section.

Your content and your responsibility for it

You keep ownership of the restaurant content you upload — names, descriptions, prices, photos, and PDF menus. By uploading it, you give Menuray a license to host, store, and publicly display it as part of operating the service (for example, serving it to diners who scan your QR code). You confirm that you have the rights to everything you upload and that it doesn’t infringe anyone else’s rights.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of your menu content — including prices, descriptions, ingredients, and allergen information. Menuray does not review, verify, or guarantee the accuracy of anything an owner publishes. If a diner has an allergy or dietary restriction, the restaurant — not Menuray — is responsible for what its published menu says about its food.

Public nature of a published menu

A published menu, and the QR code and link that point to it, are public by design — that’s the point of the product. Don’t publish anything you don’t want a stranger to be able to see. Deactivating a menu removes it from public view, but a previously-shared link or downloaded QR image may still have been captured by someone before you deactivated it.

Availability

We aim to keep Menuray available and fast, but during this beta period we make no uptime guarantee or service-level commitment. We may perform maintenance, change features, or experience outages without advance notice.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using Menuray and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, that we reasonably believe poses a risk to Menuray or other users, or if we decide to discontinue the service, in which case we’ll try to give you reasonable notice to export or request your data first.

Fees

Menuray is currently free to use. If we introduce paid plans in the future, we’ll tell existing users clearly before any charge applies to them, and using a free tier will always remain an option unless we say otherwise at that time.

No warranty

Menuray is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don’t guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure against every possible threat.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Menuray and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including lost profits, lost data, or harm resulting from inaccurate menu content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Egypt, and any dispute arising from them will be handled in the courts of Egypt, without regard to conflict-of- law principles.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Menuray develops. We’ll update the “Last updated” date above when we do, and we’ll try to give notice of material changes by email or through the dashboard. Continuing to use Menuray after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
